Focus Groups at the Annual Conference
Do you have an opinion about HRPA’s role as a professional regulator and would like to share it?
Claude Balthazard, VP Regulatory Affairs and Registrar at HRPA will be conducting focus groups at the HRPA 2017 Annual Conference to explore a number of issues related to HRPA’s role as a professional regulator. The sessions will be one hour in length and will be highly interactive, but they are limited to 10 participants per session. If there is something you wanted to tell HRPA about its role as a professional regulator and hear the opinions of other members on the topic, here is your chance. In the end a report will be written on the findings of the focus group (with no attribution to any participant, of course).
There will be five focus groups:
- Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon
- Thursday, February 2, 2017, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am
- Thursday, February 2, 2017, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am
- Friday, February 3, 2017, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
- Friday, February 3, 2017, from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon
The focus groups will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Delegates wishing to register after January 25, 2017 5:00 pm are welcome to do so on-site. Members registering on-site will need to provide proof of HRPA membership to receive the discounted rate.
Session Pre-selection Required
All delegates are required to select sessions at the time of registration for each time slot.
Session registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. For online session selection, visit www.hrpa.ca/AC2017. Fax or Mail this form with payment – select both your first and second choices (1, 2) for each time slot. Please note, this program is subject to change.
Cancellations, Refunds or Transfers
Requests for cancellations or refunds must be received in writing. If cancellation is received:
- On or before November 11, 2016, you will receive a full refund (less a $50 administration fee.)
- From November 12, 2016 to December 16, 2016, you will receive a 50% refund of fees paid.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations received after December 16, 2016. If you are unable to attend, you may send someone else in your place.
